Recent EU rulings in the so-called Schrems cases have created significant challenges for Danish companies and authorities in terms of GDPR compliance, especially when it comes to the use of cloud solutions that involve the transfer of personal data to third countries. It has become more difficult to ensure that cloud providers comply with data protection requirements, especially in relation to using data for their own purposes and handling sub-processors.

With the rise of AI technology, the need for advanced cloud solutions has only increased. Despite the challenges, new legal opportunities are emerging to ensure that Danish organizations can use services from large cloud providers without breaking GDPR regulations.

Experts point out that GDPR, originally developed as a technology-neutral and future-proof legislation, has now become one of the biggest legal barriers to modern cloud usage. Courses and presentations on the topic offer insights into how companies can manage GDPR compliance in the cloud while leveraging the benefits of modern IT services and AI.

It also looks at how the CJEU has solved some of the biggest challenges and what future developments can be expected in this area.

CO:PLAY therefore invites you to a seminar held by Christian Wiese Svanberg and Peter Kaas. With their vast experience in this particular area, you are guaranteed a seminar at a high professional level. The seminar can be approved as mandatory continuing education for lawyers.
