About the Whistleblower Directive
The Whistleblower Directive aims to ensure that it is easy and safe to report offences, that these reports are followed up and that whistleblowers are protected from any consequences that it may have to report.

What the directive means for your business
The Whistleblower Directive means that companies with 50 or more employees must have a whistleblower scheme. If your company has 250 employees or more, the whistleblower scheme must be established by 17 December 2021. If your businesses have between 50-249 employees, a scheme must be set up by 17 December 2023.
