Léonard Van Rompaey and Robert Jønsson have written a whitepaper for the COVR project "Safety for Collaborative robots" in collaboration with the Danish Technological Institute.
Technologies used in the construction of robotics, including AI and the Internet of Things (IoT), create new types of risks. A method is recommended to resolve these risks. The method can help AI and robot manufacturers with some of the new commitments (The high risk AI regulation project of the European Commission). In addition, they focus on several legal concepts and legislations that should be taken into account when designing, producing and marketing robotic products.
